Mate 20 renders show Pixel-shaming tiny bezels and waterdrop notch

Winfuture New leaked images show the Huawei Mate 20 from all angles. You can see the phone’s notch, thin bezels, and rear camera setup. The smaller notch appears to be the main design difference between the regular and Pro version of the Mate 20. Leaked photos appear to confirm that the Huawei Mate 20 will have a significantly smaller notch than the one on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The images, which WinFuture says are official marketing renders, show the phone in a bit more detail than the renders we saw in August. On the front of the phone, we can clearly see the device’s tiny top and bottom bezels and small waterdrop-style notch. The bottom bezel appears slightly thinner than in the previous render. As for the notch, it is significantly smaller than the one that is expected to feature on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Of course, this means it won’t have some of the sensors that will be housed in the Pro version’s larger notch, mainly the infrared face unlock system. The pictures of the phone’s rear give us a clear look at its triple camera setup. Like the Mate 20 Pro, the Mate 20 has three cameras placed in a square with the phone’s flash. It’s a neat looking design that is quite different from the triple camera setup on the Huawei P20 Pro and the LG V40 ThinQ. Underneath the camera, you can see the fingerprint sensor, meaning the device won’t have the in-display sensor that has been rumored for the Pro version. Huawei has also already confirmed it will be powered by the Kirin 980 chipset. While we know there will be three rear cameras, we don’t know much about them. Luckily, we won’t have to wait much longer to find out more about the phone as Huawei will unveil it at an event on October 16.
