Razer Phone 2 specs appear in the Google Play Console, evidence of a Chroma app

Razer Phone The Razer Phone 2 has shown up in the Google Play Console. The handset is listed to be powered by a Snapdragon 835 CPU, and 8GB of RAM. The image of the Razer Phone 2 from the listing shows a Chroma app on the device’s homescreen. Razer ignited new interest in smartphone gaming when it announced the Razer Phone. Now, a year later, the company plans to keep that momentum going by releasing a slightly updated handset. While we had a pretty good idea of what would be powering the device, the Razer Phone 2’s specs have leaked out thanks to a listing on the Google Play Console (via XDA-Developers). As you can see from the screenshot below, the Razer Phone 2, codenamed “Aura,” is shown to come running the Snapdragon 835 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and Android 8.1 Oreo. We’re really hoping that the processor type is just a typo copied over from the original Razer Phone. There’s no reason to expect Razer not to include the Snapdragon 845. While it doesn’t state how large the overall handset is, the chances are that Razer will keep the 5.72-inch display size as it doesn’t appear to be changing much of the second-generation phone’s design. While we’ve seen renders of the handset leak already, this image shows a Chroma app shortcut on the phone’s homescreen. Thanks to a previous rumor, it was already pretty clear that Razer plans to incorporate its Chroma lighting system into the phone. It still isn’t clear how the company plans to do this with the Razer Phone 2, but it could likely add a multi-color LED into the logo on the back of the phone or add more user-customizable options for the device’s notification LED.
