Pixel 3 price revealed by premature retail listing

With the launch of the Pixel 3 scheduled for October 9th, the price of Google’s new phone has been the one detail that’s been most elusive. Thankfully, a retail listing for the Pixel 3 popped up on JD.com with a list price of 4,999 RMB or $730 USD.  Last year’s Pixel 2 sold for $649 in the US. While the $730 price point may seem a bit high, that’s only because Google’s Pixel phones are typically priced a bit higher in China than they are here in the US. The Pixel 2’s Chinese pricing was set at 4,485 RMB ($705 USD), so we expect the pricing variation between the US and China will result in the Pixel 3 making its debut with a $650-$700 price tag in the US.  The Pixel 3 listing on JD.com also contained a few press images of the Pixel 3 and the larger Pixel 3XL. As of right now, there has been no indication as to what the price of the Pixel 3 XL will be. A few rumors have suggested that its price will be substantially higher than last year’s Pixel 2 XL which started at $849. Due to the phone’s larger display, we’re expecting the Pixel 3 XL’s base price to increase to $900, but with a number of flagship-tier smartphones selling for $1000 or more, Google might be tempted to list the Pixel 3 XL at $999. How much are you willing to pay for the Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL? [Android Headlines]
