Say hello to the ultra-slim Asus Chromebook C223

Asus Chromebook C223 Asus’ Chromebook C223 might have leaked through a Norwegian retailer. Even though availability and pricing are unknown, the Chromebook C223 might be a low-end Chromebook. Even though Asus is best known for its smartphones and Windows-powered computers, the company also cranks out Chromebooks from time to time. The Chromebook C223 looks to be Asus’ next Chrome OS machine that leaked through Norwegian retailer Power. According to the listing, the Chromebook C223 sports an 11.6-inch display with a 1,366 x 768 resolution, dual-core Intel Celeron N3350 “Apollo Lake” processor, 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. The display does not double as a touchscreen, though the processor choice means the machine does not include fans. The Chromebook C223 looks very slim in the pictures and weighs 1.23 kilograms (~2.7 pounds). We also assume the device supports the Play Store out of the box, though the lack of a touchscreen might make using Android apps a bit tricky. Editor's PickThe best Chromebooks for studentsDespite Apple's well-publicized attempts to be the top dog in school computers, Google has made quick headway in overtaking the tech giant, becoming the face of school computers in the last few years. Chromebooks now dominate … In terms of ports, the Chromebook C223 features one USB Type-C port, one full-sized USB port, one microSD card slot, and a headphone jack on the left. On the right, the device features another USB Type-C port. Finally, the retailer listed the Chromebook C223 for 2,719 krones (~$336). That price seems a bit high for the hardware, though it could come down if it launches in the U.S. There is still plenty we do not know about the Chromebook C223, such as when it will launch, where people can buy it, and how much it will sell for. Still, expect some sort of announcement from Asus sometime soon.
