The new WatchTV service will include 31 channels at first, while there are plans to include more in the future. AT&T will revamp its unlimited plans next week as well: Unlimited &More, and Unlimited &More Premium. As promised by its CEO last week, AT&T has revealed more details about its new “skinny” live-streaming TV service, WatchTV. It will offer 31 cable TV channels at first, and the company plans to add even more in the future. They will be free to access for AT&T’s unlimited wireless customers, and others will be able to access the service for $15 a month. The AT&T WatchTV channel lineup will include all of the cable TV networks owned by WarnerMedia, which AT&T now owns as part of its $85 billion purchase of Time Warner that was completed last week. It also includes cable TV channels owned by AMC Networks, Discovery Communications, and A&E Networks. A&E AMC Animal Planet Audience BBC America BBC World News Boomerang Cartoon Network CNN Discovery Food Network FYI Hallmark Channel Hallmark Movies & Mysteries HGTV History HLN IFC Investigation Discovery Lifetime Lifetime Movies OWN Sundance TV TBS TCM TLC TNT Tru TV Velocity Viceland WE AT&T also stated that WatchTV will add more channels in the future including Viacom-owned networks like BET, Comedy Central, MTV2, Nicktoons, Teen Nick, and VH1. AT&T will revamp its current unlimited plans next week alongside the WatchTV launch. The cheaper of the two plans will be called Unlimited &More, and will cost $70 a month for one line. In addition to the free access to WatchTV, Unlimited &More will include a $15 monthly credit to use for DirecTV Now, which is AT&T’s full-featured live TV streaming service. It includes access to many more cable channels than WatchTV and a cloud DVR service. The second of AT&T’s two unlimited plans will be called Unlimited &More Premium and will cost $80 a month for one line. In addition to all the features in the Unlimited &More plan, the Premium tier will throw in 15GB of high-speed mobile hotspot data a month, a higher quality video streaming experience, and the use of the $15 credit for either DirecTV Now, the DirecTV satellite service or AT&T’s U-Verse internet service. Finally, the Premium plan lets users pick one premium cable or streaming service they can watch for free. The choices include HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, VRV, Amazon Music, or Pandora. We will have more details about AT&T’s unlimited plans when they go live sometime next week.
