You can now put Windows Defender into your Chrome browser

Chrome already does a good job of protecting you from malware, but Microsoft says the Windows Defender Chrome extension is better. According to Microsoft, the Windows Defender Chrome extension is 99 percent effective against phishing attacks. Google’s Chrome browser already has some pretty good malware protection. When you visit a site that Chrome thinks might be harmful, you are given a huge warning and have to go through a couple of steps to click through against Chrome’s advice. But Microsoft’s Windows Defender is pretty terrific at protecting Windows machines from viruses and malware, too. And now, Microsoft is bringing Windows Defender into Chrome via an extension.
