This week has been a bit of a roller coaster for owners of the OnePlus 5T as the update to Android Oreo was teased by the German OnePlus Twitter account. Unfortunately, that update still has yet to roll out, but OnePlus is rolling out the latest version of OxygenOS to owners of the OnePlus 5T. The update brings the software version to OxygenOS 4.7.6 and features an array of overall improvements, but the focus of this update is on the camera. Here’s the official changelog for the update: Camera Stability improvements Clarity improvements for selfie in low light Performance improvements for 3rd party camera apps System Added assistive lighting for face unlock Improvements for expanded screenshot Improvements for Wi-Fi display Updated Android security patch to December Other than the camera improvements, the next biggest feature included is the “assistive lighting” function for those who use face unlock. It can be a pain trying to use face unlock if the lighting conditions aren’t ideal, so it’s nice to see OnePlus attempt to combat these issues through software improvements. Now with this update, it’s coming to devices Over-The-Air, meaning you’ll just have to wait until the update arrives on your device. As is the case with most OTA updates from OnePlus, this is rolling out in waves, coming to a smaller subset of users today, before rolling out to more and more users over the next few days. Let us know if you have received the update and how it’s running for you on your OnePlus 5T. [OnePlus Forums]
