The Canvas Infinity Pro not only features a 5.7-inch HD display (720 x 1440) in an all-new 18:9 aspect ratio, but also Snapdragon 430, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage, and a 3,000 mAh battery. All of that for Rs. 13,999, or approximately US$217. The company claims that the display provides up to 450 nits of brightness and the battery delivers 20 hours of talk time or 420 hours of standby time on a single charge. Pretty standard. The Canvas Infinity Pro comes with a 5.7-inch HD display, Snapdragon 430, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of internal storage, and a 3,000 mAh battery. All of that for Rs. 13,999, or approximately US$217. Things become more interesting when it comes to the cameras found on the Canvas Infinity Pro. While on the back, there is a single-lens 16-megapixel sensor with an LED flash, the front sports two camera sensors: one at 20 megapixels and a secondary sensor at 8 megapixels. Micromax says that the camera app will come preloaded with features like portrait mode, face beauty mode, and auto scene detection. If it wasn’t clear before, the Canvas Infinity Pro is aimed directly at selfie-lovers who might be looking for a phone with an advanced front-facing camera and a reasonable price tag. The Canvas Infinity Pro is by no means a high-end “pro” device, but it’s not intended to be one, as Shubhodip Pal the CCO at Micromax explains: We understand that in the mid-premium range smartphones, consumers demand a complete package – a smartphone that has best in class cameras, a screen that is large enough for content viewing, a battery that doesn’t drain in a day and of course aesthetics that are a head turner.
