You will soon be able to represent your favorite NFL team in Fortnite

Epic Games announced a partnership with the NFL to bring various football-themed accessories to Fortnite. You can buy the NFL accessories starting November 9. Epic Games also announced a slew of changes that will eventually come to Fortnite, such as a customizable HUD and 60fps functionality. With the U.S. football season already at the halfway point, Epic Games announced a partnership with the NFL to bring team outfits to Fortnite. Starting November 9 at 7:00PM EST, you can buy outfits from all 32 NFL teams from the Battle Royale Item Shop. From there, you can choose any number from zero to 99 if you want to represent a specific player on any team. From the Battle Royale Item Shop, you can also pick up a referee outfit, gliders, emotes, and resource harvesting tools with a football theme. You can also buy a made-up Fortnite team jersey. Epic Games did not say how much all of the in-game accessories will cost. We will update this post once we learn more. Elsewhere, Epic Games also announced several changes it will soon bring to Fortnite. First up is a customizable HUD, which lets you change which elements are active or disabled. You can also change the visibility for most HUD elements, as well as grid snapping. Next up are some changes to the controls. For example, Epic Games will re-introduce building from the quickbar buttons. The developer said the current building slots being drag and droppable could block other inputs, while the wood resource button can disable auto-run. As it relates to performance, there will be major performance improvements for devices that run Android 7.0 Nougat and some older operating systems. Epic Games also said it is working on optimizations to reduce the amount of memory that Fortnite takes up. Finally, Epic Games is working to reduce the update size of its patches.
