Students can take up to 50% off of YouTube Premium and YouTube Music

YouTube Music Logo in App Google has announced student pricing for YouTube Music and YouTube Premium, available starting today. YouTube Music for students costs $5 a month (regularly $10) and YouTube Premium is $7 a month (regularly $12). Sign up by Jan. 31, 2019, and get YouTube Premium for $5.99 a month. Services like Amazon, Spotify, and others have student subscription plans that are reduced in price but don’t skimp on the features. Announced earlier today, Google is now offering student plans for YouTube Premium and YouTube Music that saves users up to 50 percent. Since launching/rebranding YouTube Premium and YouTube Music in June, Google has been adding new features to both services. Now, Google is pushing to get more users using both services. YouTube Premium and Music Student Pricing Google As seen in the graphic, YouTube Premium offers ad-free, original program, and more. The service usually costs users $12 a month, but students can grab it for $7 a month. YouTube Music offers a similar ad-free listening experience and is available for students for $5 a month (normally $10). Editor's PickYouTube Music is official, but what will happen to Play Music and YouTube Red? (Updated) YouTube Update (05/18/2018): Google originally announced that Google Play Music subscribers will get YouTube Music's premium tier. However, Google Play Music subscribers in markets with YouTube Red usually received Red for free as well … And remember, by subscribing to YouTube Premium, you gain access to YouTube Music for no added cost. Additionally, if you act fast, Google is offering the YouTube Premium student plan for $5.99. This promotion ends on Jan. 31, 2019.
