Speed Test G: Huawei Mate 20 Pro vs Google Pixel 3 XL

The new Speed Test G system was launched a few days ago. It combines the best aspects of traditional speed tests with the geekiness of benchmarks to form a new way to measure the real-life performance of Android smartphones. Because the apps are standalone and not incorporated in the Speed Test G app, they need to be loaded into memory and initialized, just like a speed test. These apps then perform CPU- and/or GPU-intensive tasks, similar to the way that benchmarks work. Two for the price of one! In this Speed Test G contest, I test the Huawei Mate 20 Pro against the Pixel 3 XL. The former uses Huawei’s very own Kirin 980 processor with its four Cortex-A76 cores (in a 2+2 arrangement) and its four Cortex-A55 cores, coupled with an Arm Mali-G76MP10 GPU and 8GB RAM. The Pixel 3 XL uses the Snapdragon 845 with its four Cortex-A75 cores and its four Cortex-A55 cores, coupled with Qualcomm’s Adreno 630 GPU and 4GB RAM. Don’t miss: Best of Android 2018: the smartphone of the year is… Huawei vs Google, Kirin vs Snapdragon, 4GB vs 8GB, Cortex-A75 vs Cortex-A76, Mali GPU vs Adreno GPU! These are two extremes, which device will win the Speed Test G showdown! Watch the video to find out more.
