Facebook Messenger actually looks nice now, as long as you like white (Update: Rollout halted)

Facebook Update, November 13, 2018 (6:34PM EST): For one reason or another, Facebook halted the rollout of the redesigned Messenger. Perhaps the new UI introduced enough bugs for Facebook to stop the rollout and try to figure out what is wrong. Maybe Facebook jumped the gun a bit. Either way, Facebook will likely restart the rollout in the near future. Update, November 13, 2018 (3:41PM EST): Android Police noted that the Facebook Messenger refresh is rolling out now. It is a server-side update, so you cannot force the update to show up on your device. That said, you are more than welcome to update Messenger and just stare at it until you get the refreshed UI. Finally, Discover is where everything else lives. That includes businesses you can message and Instant Games you can play. If all of that sounds familiar, that is because functionality largely remains the same; the more significant differences are visual. In the Chats tab, for example, the camera and new message buttons now live on the top right. There is a new inclusion worth talking about: color gradients for chat bubbles in conversations. For example, you can see the color change from red to blue as you scroll up and down a conversation.
