If OnePlus only offers the OnePlus 6 going forward, buyers who may have wanted the notch-less, 5-month-old OnePlus 5T will have no choice but to buy second-hand or choose a different brand of phone. The OnePlus 5T is the fastest-selling device in the history of the company and helped bring OnePlus to 48% market share in the premium smartphone segment in India. Time will tell whether or not the company will be able to sustain that momentum with the OnePlus 6, considering the number of Android enthusiasts who have already committed not to buy it based solely on the notched design.
