Exclusive: Nokia is working on a remake of the Nokia 2010

Since its return two years ago, Nokia has introduced a revamp of an old device as part of its Classics line each year. First, we saw the iconic Nokia 3310. This year, we saw the Banana phone return. Today we can exclusively reveal Nokia’s its next Classics phone is likely to be the Nokia 2010. Announced in 1994, our inside source tells us the revamped Nokia 2010 will launch next year to mark the 25th anniversary of the first handset. It’ll feature a slightly updated design, 4G LTE connectivity, a color screen, and will launch in the same markets as the Banana phone. It’s expected to run the same OS as the rest of the Classics range, but could also come with support for applications such as WhatsApp and Facebook through a new partnership between HMD and Facebook. We’ve got an image of its revamped design, although this may not be the final version. We’re also hearing it could be called the Nokia A10, or something similar, and launch in several colors, including Red, Yellow, and Black.
