The Slider Keyboard Moto Mod is launching soon for $99 (for real this time)

It was back in March we first got wind of a company who was trying to keep the dream of the physical keyboard alive with a crowdfunded Moto Mod. The Keyboard Mod outfitted compatible Moto Z devices with a slide-out, full QWERTY keyboard, something we haven’t seen on an Android device in quite some time. In May, the keyboard — manufactured by Livermorium — was able to reach its funding goal with a few dollars to spare and plans to ship as early as July/August of last year. Like all good crowd funding projects, that deadline slipped a bit and now, with Motorola’s help, will finally launch in the next month or two. Don’t believe it? The folks at The Verge were able to get their hands on the accessory where it was being shown off along with the Lenovo Vital Moto Mod, a modular accessory that can measure heart rate, core body temperature, systolic and diastolic blood pressure from your finger and other vitals. The Keyboard Mod will be priced at $100, while the Lenovo Vital Moto Mod will be priced at $395 — making it the most expensive Mod yet — when it launched this April.
