Nougat is now installed on 20.6% of active Android devices

Nougat is making steady gains, but Marshmallow is still the most-used version of Android. A year after its release, Nougat is now installed on 20.6% of active Android devices. Android 7.0 Nougat has a 17.6% market share, with 7.1 coming in at 3%. Oreo made its first appearance last month with a 2% market share, and a month later it's at 0.3%. With few devices outside the Pixels, Nexus devices, and the Xperia XZ1 running Oreo, it'll be a while before we see any tangible gains for the latest version of Android. Marshmallow is still the most-used version of Android at 30.9%, but it's slowly starting to lose steam. Lollipop and KitKat have similarly dropped percentage points, and are now at 27.2% and 13.8% respectively. November was particularly good for Nougat, which saw a 2.8% increase across both 7.0 and 7.1 versions. That uptick will hopefully continue in the coming months. Android Oreo Android Oreo review!
